Vilnius City Hall: Rebrand

Vilnius city hall (Vilniaus rotušė) is one of the oldest in Lithuania. This makes rebranding such an institution not only a pleasure, but a huge responsibility as well. For decades it was considered a boring space for even more boring exhibitions or over the top events with VIP invitations only.

Rebranding this institution meant not only creating a new logo, but opening the doors to everyone. Therefore, we first created a logo representing openness, inspired by the architecture of city hall.

The flexible branding system made it contemporary and fresh for every occasion. Since Vilnius city hall is hosting hundreds of events per year, we created simple graphic design rules to make the brand flexible yet easily recognisable.
